The circle is a perfect geometric shape found in nature. It is also the form assumed by small rock fragments—river stones smoothed by the action of water. This collection is the result of reducing and simplifying forms, while also reflecting a fascination with the mosaic-like juxtaposition of specific stone colors.
The Tondo collection—for which Agata and Tomasz Knorowski received the "Must Have" distinction at the Łódź Design Festival—draws inspiration from the work of Sonia Delaunay. A French painter, costume and textile designer, co-founder of Simultaneism, and abstract artist active in the early 20th century, Delaunay used graphic, abstract forms and saturated, contrasting colors to capture the movement, emotions, and pulsating rhythm of everyday life.
