The Branik "Galaxy" is an object composed of stone circles of varying color, texture, and temperature. Arranged in a single, harmonious form, they create a quiet rhythm – an order you can feel.
This piece combines a circle and marble circles:
- Spanish Rojo Alicante as the central element
- Portuguese Rosa Portogallo marble in a pastel pink hue
- golden Polish marble from Sławniowice
- graphite Polish marble from Sławniowice
- light pink Portuguese marble surrounds the entire piece
The form refers to the works of Sonia Delaunay, in which color and shape are arranged in concentric, almost meditative compositions. Here, their counterparts are natural minerals – cool, matte, and shimmering. "Galaxy" can be a plateau, a focal point in space. It doesn't impose a function, leaving room for interpretation.
